Take advantage of the different resorts, their varying amenities and terrain. You will find the majority of shops located in the resort base areas.
Teton Village
The base area is not too large, I suggest doing a quick lap and checking out what each shop has to offer. See what each shop has to offer, consult the staff and find out what they think you might enjoy out on the slopes. One of the keys to an enjoyable ski vacation is finding the right fit for your on snow needs.
Town of Jackson
The town of Jackson has a few full service rental shops, which should have about everything you need.
Grand Targhee and the Idaho Side of the Tetons
On the other side of Teton Pass you will find a variety of rental shops. Besides the base area of Grand Traghee , there are rental shops in the towns of Victor and Driggs, ID as well.
Rental Delivery Services
Ski/Snowboard Equipment Rental Delivery and pickup of rental equipment directly to/from your condo, home, or hotel room. No need to stop by the rental shop at all, avoid the crowds, let them come to you.
General Information
Reservations for equipment can be made in advance. Keep in mind the shop cannot accurately predict what the snow conditions will be like when you arrive. To ensure a more pleasurable on snow experience, consult the staff regarding current snow conditions and the ski/board best suited for your ability level and the conditions upon which you will be riding.
The early season can be a bit of a gamble in Teton County. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Resort have low base elevations, around 6200′-‘6300. Sometimes inconsistent early snowfall, will limit terrain until mid to late December. The gamble can pay off, as we often have some of the best early season ski conditions in the nation. Grand Targhee does have a base elevation around 8000’ which generally lends itself to slightly deeper snow depths and potentially better early and late season snow conditions.
