Winter People’s Market

Posted on: March 28th, 2019 by thcAdmin No Comments

Slow Food in the Tetons hosts their second annual Winter People’s Market at the Teton County Fairground Building. Held every other Saturday, from December 2018 through April 2019, the market offers fare from dozens of local farmers and producers to easily connect Jackson’s community with good, healthy food.

The family-friendly event’s increased, bi-monthly schedule is in direct response to high demand from last year’s Slow Food in the Teton’s Winter People’s Market success. Regional winter produce; local ranches’ beef, pork, poultry and lamb; dairy; eggs; cheese; bread; honey; and fermented, canned, and prepared foods will be sold. The year’s coveted, last harvested vegetables, storage crops including potatoes, garlic and onions, and fresh produce from Vertical Harvest will also be available.

Fans of the Slow Food in the Tetons Farm Stand will be thrilled to hear the Winter People’s Market will include a booth offering farm stand favorites like Huidekoper Farm, Robinson Family Farm & Ranch, Mountain Meadow Farm and a variety of other regional producers’ product.

Dana has worked to develop Terra into a unique boutique that visitors and locals love to frequent. Women’s and children’s clothing is the focus at Terra. The shop has built a strong reputation for bringing Jackson a well-edited selection of specialty designers from season to season. The boutique has been featured in Lucky magazine, Town & Country, The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, and Snow. Inside you will find the Chemist Shop, which has allowed Terra to bring in specialty cosmetics, skin, nail and hair care products.

Pearl St. Market

The Pearl St. Market is a local favorite. Filling the void for a downtown market and offering deli, meat & fish, veggies, desserts, bakery items, prepared foods and more. On the corner of Pearl and Cache St., a block South of the Town Square (toward the Snow King ski area).

Pearl St. Market’s philosophy is a simple one: offer the highest-quality, freshest, and most cutting-edge products that we can find in every category. This way you can rest assured knowing that as you bite into that new cheese from a small Italian mountain farm or serve up a Jackson Hole raised Mead Ranch Ribeye

The wide array of high quality meat,  fish and baked goods are what draw me there. The sandwiches are delicious, my favorite is the Hot Pastrami.

Art Fair Jackson Hole

Posted on: August 3rd, 2014 by thcAdmin No Comments

July 11, 12, 13 and August 8, 9, 10 of Summer 2014

Art Fair Jackson Hole is held twice a summer. The art fair is held in Miller Park, just a few blocks South West from the Town Square on Deloney St. There are a large number of artists on display, a food court and live music. There are hands on art activities in which the whole family can participate. A number of local musicians perform throughout the weekend. One of my favorite Summer events, it has grown quite a bit over the years, but still maintains a unique atmosphere.

The Jackson Hole Art Association has cultivated this event into a great weekend of art. The fair was first held in 1965 in an effort to bring a diversity of artist to this quaint Western community. The three day format certainly is an enhancement giving folks a bit more time to make their way there. More than 150 artists are on display during this three day event.  Be sure to stop by and take a look. Take advantage the opportunity to meet the artists and view an amazing array mediums. The wide variety of things to take in is why I enjoy spending a leisurely afternoon checking the art fair out. Entry fee is $5/person.

The much anticipated opening of Stio is upon us. The community has been anxiously awaiting the opening of Stio’s flagship store in Jackson, WY. Steve Sullivan, founder/CEO, is once again gracing the clothing community with his vision and design. Steve was one of the innovators and founding fathers of Cloudveil, which took the the outdoor clothing industry by storm in the late 90’s. The store is located just off of the town square on Cache St.

Their website states: “Based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Stio was founded to inspire connection with the outdoors through beautiful, functional products. Stio is apparel you can live in & dash; in both the epic and quieter moments of outdoor life.”

Stio 2Stio Opens it doors October 3, 2012

Opening day looked like locals and tourists alike were delighted with the new line. Through the innovative use of materials and design, Stio looks to make an impact. The Hole Concierge wishes Stio luck in this new endeavor. The line looks sweet, the fabrics seem durable and quite comfortable.
